Coding journey...

Understanding the algorithms and building blocks of functional “beings” have always been a principal modus operandi. Albeit not always computer code but code nonetheless. A precedent of this concept is my initial background in Molecular and cell biology (minor) combined with Medical laboratory Sciences (major). The human code works similar to computer code and both are worthy of noble pursuits. Everything that has functionality, though living or synthetic, has a code behind it that makes it “tic”. At last, perfect harmony amidst these two disciplines has the potential to yield paramount developments to better the human condition.

Candidly, computer coding is much more liberating and thrilling. It is a skill that requires a proper laptop and a fervent unwavering will. As opposed to a quarter million-dollar molecular lab with exorbitant instrument costs. One where accomplishments are at the mercy of an affluent source, with high financial barriers-of-entry. The creation and modification of software/apps/websites yields immediate self-satisfaction. The breaking, fixing, breaking again, and resolution of code is more exciting than an unstable relationship with a toxic lover.

Lastly, we have arrived at web developing. Perhaps the greatest creation of mankind since the discovery of fire and the wheel. The great arbiter of endless information commencing the preliminary stages of The Information Age. If one had to explain the internet to a tribe of people who never encountered it before, the explanation would be akin to a god. Omniscient, omnipresent, and there I say omnipotent. All those who can create it, manipulate it, and understand it, are quintessential mortal deities in their own right. Demigods that play and work in the digital realm of zeros and ones. If you indulge me, I would like us to be virtual gods that build, break, and play in the matrix… there is no spoon.
